V-Legal Documents and FLEGT Licenses (for the European Union) are documents that guarantee the legality of wood, wood products for export purposes. This document is also used as a requirement for submitting Goods Export Notifications for exporters of wood products in accordance with statutory provisions. This document is issued every time an exporter carries out an export process.
The issuance of this document is carried out through a verification process at the Independent Verification Assessment Institute (LPVI) after the prospective exporter has previously met the standards imposed by the Legality and Sustainability Verification System (SVLK) and obtained S-Legality.
